Catheterization Laboratory Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Englewood, New Jersey.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness of the laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience as a Radiation Technologist and possess strong technical and motor skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with catheterization procedures, including monitoring and evaluating patients before, during, and after the procedure
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, including the disposal of waste and restocking supplies
- Operate and maintain departmental equipment, including catheters and imaging devices
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field
- One to three years of experience as a Radiation Technologist
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Strong technical and motor skills, including ability to grasp, fine manipulate, and push/pull equipment
- Ability to work under close supervision and independently as needed
