Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a skilled CT Technologist for a 52-week travel assignment in La Palma, California.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. They will prepare patients for the procedure, position patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
- Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
- Provide high-quality images to Radiologists for interpretation.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital's system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
Requirements:
- A valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations.
- Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities.
- The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required.
- Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
- Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
