Job Title: Travel CT Technologist
Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a skilled Travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Vernon, Connecticut.
Job Details:
- Shift: 8 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
The successful candidate will operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for the procedure, positioning patients with considerations for safety and image accuracy, ensuring proper imaging protocols are followed, and working closely with radiologists to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes
- Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital's system
- Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice
Requirements:
- The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
- Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
- Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Sensory: Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate
