Job Description
This 13-week assignment for a CT Tech involves operating computed tomography equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue. You will prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, explain the process, and position them accordingly. Technical parameters must be set accurately to demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Your role also includes providing images to radiologists for interpretation and following hospital safety rules and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should possess strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with various personnel. Technical/motor skills are also essential, allowing you to grasp, manipulate, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures or using department equipment. Mental requirements include coping with frequent contact with the general public, meeting deadlines under pressure, and working under close supervision occasionally.
