Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team for a 13-week assignment in
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), a valid SLP license in the state where they will be practicing, and BLS certification. They should also possess strong communication skills, as they will be working closely with patients, other health professionals, and family members.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medically prescribed speech language pathology to restore function and prevent disability following injury or loss of a body part.
- Educate patients, other health professionals, and family regarding speech therapy on an ongoing basis.
- Observe and evaluate patient responses during treatment, document, and report findings accordingly.
- Follow hospital safety rules and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Valid SLP license in the state where they will be practicing.
- BLS certification.
- One to three years of experience as an SLP preferred.
Work Environment:
- Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
- Technical/Motor Skills: ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
- Sensory – Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
