Job Summary:
A skilled Speech Language Pathologist is needed for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and caregivers to facilitate improved communication outcomes and overall quality of life
- Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate patients
- Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices
- Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
- BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
