Key Responsibilities
The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with physicians and other health team members, providing and coordinating patient care, and monitoring patients' responses to interventions. They will also administer medications, maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies, and transport patients as needed.
The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience as a PTA, a valid license, and BLS certification. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with a variety of personnel and present a positive attitude and professional appearance.
In addition to your clinical skills, you will also have critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. You will be able to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and possess PC skills. You will also have physical abilities such as remaining in a stationary position, moving about, moving equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, and bending.
