This step-down unit Registered Nurse position requires strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. As a critical care nurse, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans for patients. Your ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations will be essential in providing quality patient care.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a progressive care unit or intermediate care setting. You must also have a valid RN license in the state where you will be practicing and BLS certification. A Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification is highly recommended.
