A 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at a client facility in Metairie, LA.
About the Position:
This position requires a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and educating patients and families on health-related topics.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to interventions and report outcomes to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state where assigned
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies
