Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services to patients under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. As a PTA, you will be responsible for administering medically prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following an injury or loss of a body part. You will also educate patients, other health professionals, and family members regarding physical therapy on an on-going basis. Additionally, you will observe and evaluate patient responses during treatment, document and report findings to Physical Therapist, and follow hospital safety rules and procedures.
Requirements
- One to three years experience as a PTA preferred.
- Valid PTA license and BLS certification required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
- Physical Abilities: Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending.
