Job Summary:
This position offers the opportunity to work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a top-rated facility in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing imaging procedures, operating equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. This is a 13-week contract assignment, offering competitive pay and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging procedures using various modalities, including nuclear medicine cameras and PET scanners
- Operate equipment, such as injectors, pumps, and control panels, to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to achieve accurate diagnoses
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Valid ARRT certification and BLS certification required
- At least one year of experience in nuclear medicine imaging preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulations
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and software applications
