Responsibilities:
- Administer medically prescribed speech language pathology to restore function and prevent disability following injury or loss of a body part.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records pertinent to patient treatment.
- Educate patients, other health professionals, and family regarding speech therapy on an on-going basis.
- Observe and evaluate patient responses during treatment, document and report findings accordingly.
- Follow hospital safety rules and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), a valid SLP license in the state where they will be practicing, and BLS certification.
- One to three years' experience as an SLP preferred.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential.
