Responsibilities
- Administer medically prescribed speech therapy to restore function and prevent disability following injury or loss of a body part.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records pertinent to patient treatment.
- Educate patients, other health professionals, and family regarding speech therapy on an ongoing basis.
- Observe and evaluate patient responses during treatment, document and report findings accordingly.
- Follow hospital safety rules and procedures.
Requirements
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid SLP license in the state where practicing
- BLS certification
- One to three years' experience as an SLP preferred
