Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role involves delivering specialized care to patients over a 13-week assignment, focusing on improving communication-related issues. This position requires coordination with healthcare team members, monitoring patient responses, and fulfilling necessary documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
- Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
- Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
- Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
Requirements:
- Valid SLP license in the state where they will be practicing.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- BLS certification.
- One to three years experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred.
