Responsibilities
As a Senior Development Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase fundraising revenue, working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Development and Marketing Communications teams.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Developing strategic plans to meet fundraising goals and objectives
• Overseeing fundraising initiatives and programs, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
• Working with the CEO, Board of Directors, and statewide staff to identify and cultivate major gift prospects
• Managing donor portfolios and ensuring effective stewardship of existing donors
• Building partnerships with Board, committees, staff, volunteers, chapters, wish families, and the public to support fundraising efforts
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A BA/BS Degree in Non-profit Management/Fundraising, Marketing, Business, or similar background
• 8-10 years of relevant and progressive professional experience in managing and directing a successful, diverse development program
• Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
• Previous team management experience and experience working with Boards of Directors
