Title : Field Manager / Nokia Field Tech (Microwave)
Pay Rate : $200 W2 $300 PDM – Total : $500 / day
Markets : Detroit, MI
Start : Jan 2025
Duration : 18 months
Travel : 80% of the time (hotel, airfare, mileage reimbursed according to Nokia Travel Policy)
Scope of Work :
Candidate MUST have :
- Must be located in Great Lakes Market and covering the surrounding area
- Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time
- Would strongly benefit from having previous T-Mobile experience
- Must have Nokia installation and equipment knowledge
- Must have Microwave experience
- Must Comply with attached travel policy
- Must have Valid Driver's License

BBP - Blood Borne PathogensRF Awareness – Radio Frequency AwarenessOSHA 10 (10-hour course) Fall Protection or OSHA 30 (30 Hour course)The primary responsibility for this BTSE position is the ability to perform Commissioning and Integration activities and the ability to troubleshooting hardware / software systems.
Responsibilities :
Ability to follow all state and federal safety regulations (OSHA, local turfing vendor, etc.) while working in an efficient and productive manner.Ensures all local build standards and regulations are followed during Site ConstructionDaily interlock with Supplier (meetings, status, etc.)Coordinate Equipment repair and returnVerification of Site quality throughout the implementation and acceptance processes.Commissioning, and Integration activities.Provide comprehensive and accurate reporting of all project activities.Interacts with other technicians and customer’s technical staff.Trouble shoots RBS issues, board issues (CBU / DUL, OBIF, RAX and TX).UMTS, LTE & GSM commissioning, integration & troubleshooting.Microwave installation, commissioning and alignment.Understands and implements RAN, RF and Transmission designs.Basic knowledge of Antennae & RF configuration at cell sites.Grounding and various types of electrical voltages and safe connection methods.Interprets various documents (e.g. blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) to ensure proper installation of equipmentHealth &Safety standards implemented and followedAbility to safely use hand and small power tools.Capacity to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.A willingness to travel and / or work outdoors in all weather conditions when required.The above are the key responsibilities for this position but does not restrict additional tasks from being assigned.
Requirements :
Valid Driver’s LicenseTwo or more years of experience in a network rollout disciplineTwo or more years of experience in wireless industryFirst Aid Training / CPR preferredOSHA 10 Certification preferredIC&I & Troubleshooting experience in UMTS, LTE, WCDMA, CDMA, & GSM. Certifications a plus!Electrical training with some telecommunications experience.Moderate to Expert knowledge utilizing Microsoft Tools Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Decision making and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated understanding of microwave and fiber transmission concepts.Flexibility in working hours and travel. Ability to travel overnight.A demonstrated understanding of multiple client network topologies and associated Radio access network (RAN) and Optical / Microwave Transmission infrastructure.Experience integrating and troubleshoot cabinets and rack mounted equipment.
