We are seeking a motivated Traffic Engineer to support our traffic engineering projects. In this role, you will assist with all aspects of analysis, design, calculations, estimating, and preparing submissions for a variety of traffic-related projects.
We are seeking a motivated Traffic Engineer to support our traffic engineering projects. In this role, you will assist with all aspects of analysis, design, calculations, estimating, and preparing submissions for a variety of traffic-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic impact studies, including trip generation, capacity analysis, and crash/safety analysis
- Assist in the preparation of Office of State Traffic Administration (OSTA) Major Traffic Generator certificates
- Support traffic signal design and safety improvement projects
- Perform AutoCAD and Microstation drafting for engineering plans
- Utilize GIS and Synchro for data analysis and traffic modeling
- Prepare reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project success
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- At least 1 years of relevant experience (internship experience considered)
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microstation, GIS, and Synchro
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel to field sites in Connecticut and neighboring states
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
