As a Water & Natural Resources Business Line Manager, you'll support the continued growth and evolution of our water resources practice in the Northeast market with a focus on climate adaptation and resilience, ecological restoration, and green infrastructure.
As a Water & Natural Resources Business Line Manager, you'll support the continued growth and evolution of our water resources practice in the Northeast market with a focus on climate adaptation and resilience, ecological restoration, and green infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Water & Natural Resources team to develop new clients and projects focused on climate adaptation and resilience, ecological restoration, and green infrastructure
- Develop, lead, and/or support multi-disciplinary teams on a range of water resource-related projects, such as: green stormwater infrastructure, drainage studies and design, nature-based flood and heat resilience solutions, dam removal, stream and wetland restoration, floodplain restoration, culvert replacement and right-sizing, hydrologic & hydraulic studies, and coastal flood resilience and restoration.
- Work closely with Business Line, Operations and Marketing Leaders to identify and develop opportunities to grow our practice.
- Recommend new approaches or technology to build a competitive advantage in the market
- Recommend key hires and participate in the hiring process in the market; actively engage in staff development assessments and make recommendations for training and/or additional development activities
- Act as Project Manager with high-profile projects and clients, providing expert-level technical support
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, graduate degree is a plus
- Typically requires at least 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is required; or the ability to acquire in 12-months
- Existing relationships with municipal and state clients
- Desire to mentor staff and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal
