Description
· Verify all team members are present.
· Verify that start-up checks are performed.
· Ensure proper safety of all drivers.
· Ensure drivers are following company rules.
· Properly tagging loads prior to shipping.
· Conducting kaizen activity for the shift as well as the department.
· Filling in for driver’s absence.
· Making sure trucks are released on time with the proper loads.
· Good Communication skills.
· Good Mathematical skills.
· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Operation of Tugger or Forklift.
A Team Leader in this department must be able to ensure the efficient flow of operations and can react quickly and efficiently in correcting any problems that may occur.
