Description
This is a twelve (12) week temporary position for Spanish Translation needed both for in office and on the production floor.
- Translate documents, websites, articles, reports, and other written materials from Spanish to English and vice versa.
- Ensure the translated content maintains the meaning, style, and tone of the original material.
- Review translated materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Edit and revise translations to ensure they are free from errors and align with the managers requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership staff, team members, employee candidates and subject matter experts to clarify translation needs or address ambiguities in the original content.
- Stay updated on language trends, new vocabulary, and cultural shifts to ensure the translations are relevant.
- Conduct research on specific terms, phrases, or topics to ensure accurate translation, particularly in specialized fields like law, medicine, or technology.
- Use available resources (e.g., dictionaries, glossaries, and online tools) to enhance translation quality.
- Communicate with all members to understand their expectations and provide feedback on project timelines.
- Offer suggestions on how to improve translations for better readability and cultural resonance.
- Other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and sentence structure in both languages.
- Familiarity with translation software or tools (e.g., CAT tools).
- Good attention to detail and ability to spot errors in both source and translated texts.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
