Job Title: Associate Attorney
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Associate Attorney to join our firm, specializing in creditor’s rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate law. This position offers an excellent opportunity for newly graduated attorneys as well as those with some experience to further develop their skills in these practice areas. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on a wide range of legal matters, including legal research, drafting documents, and client representation. This role provides a great pathway for professional growth, offering hands-on experience and the opportunity to advance within a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis in the areas of creditor’s rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate transactions.
- Assist in managing all aspects of foreclosure proceedings, including drafting and filing legal documents, conducting foreclosure sales, and representing clients in court hearings.
- Help clients with debt collection efforts, negotiate settlements, and enforce creditor’s rights.
- Assist in case management tasks, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining communication with clients.
- Attend court proceedings and administrative hearings, gaining valuable courtroom experience under the guidance of senior attorneys.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and provide effective solutions for clients.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends impacting creditor’s rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate matters.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the MD, DC, and/or VA state bar is preferred, but not required.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in practicing law with a focus on creditor’s rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate law.
- Previous experience in any of the above practice areas is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the firm.
