Job Title: Director of Quality Control
Reports To: Vice President of Quality
Supervises: Quality Control (QC) Department
Job Summary:
The Director of Quality Control ensures that all manufactured and purchased products meet required quality and safety standards while complying with cGMP guidelines. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of various QC departments, developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, managing laboratory equipment, and ensuring staff training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Microbiology, Stability, Physical Inspection, and Analytical Chemistry areas.
- Develop and enforce SOPs for the Quality Control Lab.
- Ensure cGMP compliance and support method validation.
- Manage lab equipment, including maintenance and calibration.
- Review supplier quality and conduct training for QC staff.
- Develop product specifications and execute method transfer protocols.
- Represent QC in meetings and manage the lab’s budget.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field.
- 10 years in analytical chemistry and quality control, with 5 years in a managerial role.
- Extensive knowledge of cGMP, GLP, GC, and HPLC analysis.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
