Prepare and assemble federal and state estate tax returns, gift tax returns and related tax filings, including obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing information and documents. Draft, edit, and review estate and trust administration documents. Interact with a wide variety of clients, advisors, and professionals in person, on the phone, via email, and video conferences. Assist with asset transfers and titling. Calculate estimated taxes and estate disposition scenarios; prepare flowcharts, illustrations, and client memos. Assemble, organize, and maintain estate planning documents and client records.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble federal and state estate tax returns, gift tax returns and related tax filings, including obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing information and documents.

Qualifications
10 years of experience as a trust and estate paralegal with strong estate and gift tax return preparation skills.
Experience with spreadsheets, tax calculation software, and GEMS (or similar) tax preparation software. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to work on teams
Illinois notary license, preferred.
Pay range and compensation package
The anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance.
Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses and overtime, if eligible.
Overtime wages earned will be paid in compliance with applicable law.
