Indian Hills Country Club of Marietta, GA is looking for an experienced Service Manager (Food and Beverage)
The Service Manager manages and supervises the entire service staff, conducts initial and continuing training, and oversees the scheduling and execution of service on a daily basis. The service manager is responsible for the planning and executing of private functions at the Club. The employee must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, teamwork, and flexibility.
The Service Manager must be extremely positive and knowledgeable of the overall functions of the club and able to monitor these functions on a day-to-day basis. Member relations are a most important part of this position. The employee will also assist in the preliminary steps of booking private functions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position requires the employee to have excellent people skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both members and staff. Because the employee in this position deals with member relations, good grooming and social skills are a necessity. The employee should have knowledge of food and beverage and fine-dining steps in service. The employee should have experience in room set-up, breakdown, inventory control and procedures.
Education, Experience, and Training
The employee must have a minimum of a high school education, preferably with some college or a college degree, and a minimum of two years of food and beverage experience, with at least one of those years in a management position.
The flexibility to works evenings, weekends and holidays are essential. The candidate must have valid driver’s license for company business. Indian Hills is a member of the Futren Hospitality family.
