What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM Programmer / Inspector position at Futuramic Tool & Engineering?
General Description:
Efficiently create and validate measurement programs to carry out dimensional analysis of simple and complex parts and assemblies using engineering design data.
Develop and/or aid in the design of part fixturing to accurately evaluate parts and/or assemblies.
Plan out the inspection by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces and machining parameters.
Efficiently perform first piece inspections for support of operations
Prepare CMM, FAIR and Nonconformance reports.
Maintain quality and safety standards and adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintain equipment and supplies by using preventive maintenance requirements and following manufacturer’s instructions.
Must be able to interpret and apply geometric dimensions and tolerances. (GD&T)
Verify equipment calibration bi-weekly minimum.
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communications actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Work Experience Recommended:
Minimum of 3 years of programming and operating CMM Equipment
Experience with AS9100 quality management system for the Aerospace Industry
Knowledge of AS9102 First Article inspection requirements
Retrieve Catia V5 models, drawings & other blueprint specifications
Ability to collect & analyze data
Ability to work with inspection tools i.e. Surface Plate, thread gages, pin gages, micrometers, calipers, height gage optical comparator(Impression Molds).
Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
Must be able to stand for more than 1 hours. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, balance, rotate trunk.
Must be competent in using and reading basic measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, scale, etc.
Must have strong knowledge of GD & T. Must know PCDMIS and CAPPS Softwares. Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word. Must know how to operate a crane.
U.S. Citizenship or valid Permanent Resident status is required.
