We are looking for a House Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the house, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The house manager will also be responsible for providing direct support, supervision, and assistance to individuals to enhance the achievement of goals and objectives as outlined in the personal plan and overall support to the individuals with activities of daily living. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail, and facilitate and model self-control of behavioral, emotional and social functioning. They will show CARE through providing positive support to the individuals and to all staff in a manner that considers safety, personal dignity, comfort and a respectful environment.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or similar field.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists individuals with daily living, remains with them while on shift, actively interacts with individuals during waking shift hours, and remains on shift until appropriately relieved by other trained staff.
  • Ensures that the home is kept clean and organized.
  • Manages household staff and ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Passes meds as needed and/or when on shift.
  • Ensures that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Develops and implement systems to maintain order in the home.
  • Ensures that all necessary supplies are available for the home and report any needs to the office.
  • Provides directions, training and supervision to all Direct Support staff in their house.
  • Provides at a minimum, two week written schedule to all staff.
  • Develops a working knowledge of all Personal Plans and maintains each personal plan through keeping it up to date and ensuring staff read and adhere to all personal plans.
  • Observes individual's behaviors, legibly documents concise and accurate observations in charts and progress records, and immediately reports any unusual or dangerous behaviors to immediate supervisor.
  • Helps the Professional Manager as delegated in writing the monthly report.
  • Facilitates positive behavior learned during Positive Behavior Support, Quality Outcomes and Tools.
  • Prepares injury and incident reports and doctor's consultation reports per Deparment of Mental Health instructions. Trains staff in filing out these reports as well.
  • Pariticpates in agency and Regional Center training and staff development programs. Conducts routine staffing and trainings.
  • Provides an opportunity for individuals to have routine meetings to express their ideas.
  • Participates as an integral part of the planning team for the individual. This includes the attendance of staff meetings, meetings with SB40 staff, meetings regarding behavior support and any other individual specific training or meetings. House Managers are also required to conduct and facilitate staff meetings with their immediate staff regarding events in the home and relay general information to their staff.
  • Must keep accurate records of receipts and money used to provide for the individuals. Individual and house ledgers must be kept and submitted to the office monthly.
  • Must keep records for Values and other documents as required by the Program manager II for Value Based Payments. When this is done this provides an opportunity for the House Manager as well as their staff, who participate, to receive bonuses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
