Life Coach/Mentor

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Life Coach to support a 26-year-old individual who recently moved to White Plains, NY. This individual has been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder and experiences significant hearing loss, using a unilateral cochlear implant. They are currently unemployed and seeking part-time job opportunities in the area.

Key Areas of Support:

• Motivation & Goal Setting – Helping the individual establish and maintain personal and professional goals.
• Executive Functioning Support – Assisting with organization, time management, planning, and daily routines.
• Social Skills & Communication – Providing guidance on navigating social interactions and building confidence in community settings.
• Job Search & Employment Readiness – Offering support in job applications, interview preparation, and workplace skills.
• General Life Skills – Encouraging independence in daily activities and decision-making.

Ideal Candidate:

• Background in coaching, psychology, social work, special education, or a related field.
• Experience working with neurodiverse individuals and/or individuals with hearing loss.
• Strong skills in motivational coaching, executive functioning strategies, and social skills development.
• Patient, empathetic, and skilled at fostering independence.
• Comfortable working in person, once a week for approximately two hours in a structured and supportive manner.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Private pay position.
• Flexible scheduling with weekly in-person sessions (approx. 2 hours per session).
