Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist at First Tee – Monterey County plays a vital role in promoting the organization’s mission and programs. This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, creating engaging content, managing digital and print media, and supporting outreach efforts to increase awareness and engagement. Working closely with the Development department, the Marketing Specialist will help shape the organization’s brand identity, ensure consistent messaging, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance marketing efforts. The ideal candidate has a passion for community engagement, strong project management skills, and experience in digital marketing, branding, and content creation.
Responsibilities under supervision of Development Director:
· Promote First Tee’s mission by modeling First Tee Nine Core Values and adherence to The First Tee Code of Conduct
· Assist in implementing marketing campaigns.
· Come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials and advertising copies.’
· Assist in developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns.
· Identify key marketing trends and opportunities for innovation.
· Develop branding concepts, promotional materials, graphic designs, and advertising content.
· Undertake ad-hoc marketing projects as needed.
· Create data-driven marketing campaigns and present recommendations to management.
· Develop and manage all marketing materials for First Tee – Monterey County.
· Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, email campaigns, and print materials.
· Work with digital marketing tools and software to enhance outreach and engagement.
· Regularly update and maintain social media accounts.
· Work closely with the Director of Development and CEO to refine marketing strategies.
· Deliver presentations to community members, stakeholders, donors, board members, and staff.
· Provide administrative support to the Development Manager and CEO.
· Conduct and analyze market research to better understand target audiences.
· Organize and evaluate surveys, questionnaires, and other feedback tools.
· Utilize insights to refine marketing approaches and enhance audience engagement.
· Oversee project management for marketing initiatives, ensuring timely execution.
· Maintain and update the marketing database regularly.
· Prepare, format, and edit a range of documents.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Marketing agency experience or equivalent background.
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation and targeting.
- Ability to develop engaging content across multiple platforms.
- Graphic design proficiency for marketing collateral.
- Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
· At least 4 years of experience in a Marketing role or related experience
· Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Position Requirements
· Successfully pass a criminal background check
· Successfully pass TB and Drug screening
· Possess an appropriate California Driver license with a driving record acceptable to First Tee – Monterey County. (Must be 25 years of age to be added to First Tee – Monterey County’s insurance)
Compensation
· Annual salary DOE $69,000 $75,000
· Medical insurance: 75% employer contribution for employee, 50% employer contribution for dependents
· Dental insurance: 100% employer contribution
· Vision insurance: 100% employer contribution
· Life insurance: 100% employer contribution (employee only)
· 403(b) Retirement matching: 8% maximum match to gross bi-weekly pay
