Position Summary: Reporting to Business Development Manager the Business Development Assistant plays a key role in supporting the business development team by assisting in the identification of growth opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing client communications. The assistant will contribute to enhancing the company’s presence in the market and the overall success of its business development efforts, including the commercial social media presence.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manage data collection and entry for new, existing and potential clients within CRM database.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients, industry trends, geographic and market opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients including architects, contractors, and other business partners, engaging in active follow-up communication.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and reports and other administrative activities.
  • Assist in content creation and schedule management of social media communications.
  • Support the creation and distribution of company newsletters.

Qualifications / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Interest in sales, marketing, and business development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Adaptability to new tasks and efforts that align with business growth and direction
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and be an important part of a collaborative and expansion-driven team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or the AEC community is a plus
