What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator Installer position at Future Fence Company?
Future Fabricating is an AISC certified commercial ornamental fabrication company. We provide unique and specialized fabricated items needed to complete a variety of architectural and infrastructure projects. Our team of skilled craftsmen specialize in building some of the Mid-West’s most interesting ornamental architectural metal products for bridges, buildings, and streetscapes out of a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless.
Position Summary: Reporting to an Installation Foreman the Fabrication Installer is responsible for assembling and installing Miscellaneous metals according to client specifications and local building codes.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Install different types of guardrails, handrails and other miscellaneous metals.
- Prepare the installation site by clearing debris and ensuring proper measurements.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively and safely
- Conduct heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications / Education:
- Previous experience in fabrication includes Welding Mig, Stick and Tig. Of Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Steel.
- Welding experience is a Must. Tig welding of stainless steel is preferred.
- Being able to read a tape measure is a must. Understanding blueprints is preferred.
- A Chauffeur’s license is required. If you don’t have one at the time of hire, it is expected that you can obtain one within 90 days of start.
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time ,climbing stairs and lifting 60 pounds.
- Work from heights, safely is required.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor conditions – varies based on jobsite. Working indoors with other trades.
- Environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
- Some overnight travel will be required.
