Future Fabricating is an AISC certified commercial ornamental fabrication company. We provide unique and specialized fabricated items needed to complete a variety of architectural and infrastructure projects. Our team of skilled craftsmen specialize in building some of the Mid-West’s most interesting ornamental architectural metal products for bridges, buildings, and streetscapes out of a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless.
Position Summary: The Fab Project Manager position will be responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects in the Fabrication division. They make sure jobs are completed to spec, on time and within budget. They communicate directly with contractors and detailers concerning project schedules.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Oversees projects in the department from contract to completion.
- Preparing submittals, Material breakdowns and Orders for projects.
- Communicates daily with contractors/detailers concerning project cost, staffing and scheduling.
- Prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Analyze blueprints, specs, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Visit site to attend subcontractor’s meetings and help resolve project issues or concerns.
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems, build relationships and to provide ongoing support.
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Works with the department team on schedules and customer requirements.
- Prepares and submits closeout documents and final billings for projects.

Qualifications / Education:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred, Field of Study: Business or Construction
- 2 years of experience in project management.
- Prior experience with blueprint reading required.
