Future Fence Company, founded in 1979, is the largest installer of commercial fence in the state of Michigan and is focused on future growth. Our team of skilled craftsmen build some of the Midwest's most interesting ornamental architectural metal products for bridges, buildings and streetscapes out of a variety of metals including steel, aluminum, stainless and bronze.
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. This role is essential in maintaining a productive work environment and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of job sites by setting up equipment and materials.
- Perform general labor tasks such as lifting and carrying materials.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Operate hand tools and power tools as needed for various tasks.
- Clean and maintain work areas to promote efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
- Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience with stainless steel and aluminum is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Hi-los, tape measures, band saws, and grinders
- Familiarity with construction or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease.
- Environment that may be either hot, cold or humid.
