We are in search of an Office Generalist for our plant in Newton, KS. This individual will work closely with our management team as the on-site manager of office related activities. The ideal candidate will be someone who is customer focused, very responsive, action oriented, and has management experience. This role is very hands-on and does have a customer facing aspect which requires the candidate to have a high level of professionalism in how they handle client and vendor interactions.


Responsibilities:

  • A/R, A/P, Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, Personnel, Purchasing, and assist production with various activities, etc.
  • Assist production with producing schedules, factory tickets, etc.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of process-related KPIs as required.
  • Month-end closings.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting the HR department in providing HR services to managers and employees. This role is responsible for providing support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures, and practices of the Human Resources Department.
  • Be a collaborator to HR and Plant Managers to accomplish HR related tasks.
  • Work in conjunction with Managers and Temp agencies to support the coordination of temp- to- hire resource requests by Managers
  • Enter employee data (employment applications, hiring paperwork, change forms, benefit forms, terminations, etc) and manage time card reports with a high level of accuracy.
  • Assist employee with the completion of hiring and benefits paperwork.
  • Follow the HR corporate office guidance in assisting in the administration of Leave of Absence documents and information to employees, including but not limited to, Workers Compensation, FMLA and ADA.
  • Scan personnel folders and other HR related documents in a timely and consistent basis.
  • Work with employees to address any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Develop and maintain a trusting relationship with all levels within the organization.
  • Communicate company vision to all employees to provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of various employee events.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Responsible for assisting the Safety Manager for providing support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of our safety programs.


Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree Business Administration- Preferred

· The preferred candidate will have 3-5 years of direct work experience in customer service, production planning, accounting, and/or logistics

· HR and Safety experience a plus

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

· Unix and/or ERP experience preferred

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

· Strong analytical skills that allow the successful candidate to extract core data from a variety of sources, draw conclusions and insights, and translate those insights into actions.

· Ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines, and rapidly changing priorities.

· Aptitude to multi-task and lead projects.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with business partners, suppliers, and regional teams.

· Ability to travel up to 5%.
