We are seeking an experienced Automotive General Manager to oversee all dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and finance departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong leadership background with a focus on profitability, customer satisfaction, and team development. As a key member of the management team, the Automotive General Manager will be responsible for setting and executing business strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining a positive working environment.
Pay Scale : Salary of $6,000 - $15,000 a month with bonus opportunities based on department performance and other factors.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Management : Lead, manage, and mentor all department heads (sales, service, parts, finance) to ensure effective teamwork and high employee engagement.
- Operational Oversight : Manage day-to-day dealership operations to meet or exceed business objectives, including customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and cost control.
- Financial Performance : Develop and execute strategies to meet budgetary and financial goals, manage profit and loss (P&L) statements, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Customer Satisfaction : Ensure an outstanding customer experience by setting high standards for service, quality, and response time across all departments.
- Compliance & Regulations : Ensure the dealership operates in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including California labor laws and industry standards.
- Sales & Marketing Strategy : Work with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies, drive new and repeat business, and collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management : Oversee inventory levels, parts management, and relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Staff Training & Development : Provide ongoing training to staff to promote continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or in senior management within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and finance.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L statements, and achieving financial targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive company culture that prioritizes teamwork, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of California labor laws and compliance regulations.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- A valid sales license.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Automotive Management, or a related field is preferred. Benefits :
