Permit Runner

Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Permit Runner to assist in obtaining and managing permits for residential and commercial remodeling projects. This role primarily involves handling permits for fences, pergolas, driveways, patios, impact windows, and similar remodeling projects, ensuring a smooth and efficient process with local authorities. The ideal candidate will have experience in permit applications, document handling, and follow-ups with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit and collect permit applications for fences, pergolas, driveways, patios, and impact windows at local government offices.
• Track the status of permits and provide timely updates to the project management team.
• Ensure all required documents are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines.
• Liaise with city officials and regulatory agencies to resolve any permit-related issues.
• Maintain organized records of permits and documentation for each project.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary project information for applications.
• Follow up on pending applications to expedite approvals and avoid project delays.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in permit coordination or similar administrative roles in construction.
• Familiarity with local permit application processes for residential remodeling projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple applications simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with government agencies and internal teams.
• Reliable transportation for delivering and collecting documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual Salary: $52,000.
• Additional Compensation: $100 commission per successfully executed and obtained permit.
