Job Summary:

The Yard/Shop Laborer & Driver supports the Fleet Department by assisting with general yard and shop maintenance, organizing equipment, and safely transporting materials, tools, and vehicles as needed. This role requires a reliable, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard, shop, and fleet area.
• Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to job sites.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are in safe working condition.
• Support mechanics and technicians with various shop tasks as needed.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, and other equipment (if certified).
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by the Fleet Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a shop, yard, or laborer role preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
