OFFICE RECEPTIONIST JOB DESCRIPTION

General Purpose

Attend to visitors, staff, and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supply information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers. Help with marketing.

Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

  • answer telephone, screen and direct calls
  • create Marketing materials
  • take and relay messages
  • greet persons entering organization
  • direct persons to correct destination
  • deal with queries from the public and customers
  • provide general administrative and clerical support
  • receive and sort mail and deliveries
  • organize conference and meeting room before and after meetings
  • coordinate meetings and organize catering when needed
  • monitor and maintain office equipment
  • control inventory relevant to reception area
  • control inventory relevant to outside signage
  • tidy and maintain the reception area
  • sign keys in/out
  • scan documents to correct personnel
  • print documents when needed for personnel

Education and Experience

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • college degree or 2 years experience
  • knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • keyboard skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Required)
