Driver (Independent Contractor)

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated 1099 Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently while providing excellent customer service. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including vans, box trucks, and other delivery vehicles.
• Load and unload goods using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
• Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including any necessary paperwork.
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery status and address any inquiries or concerns.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Skills

• Proficient in driving various types of vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous.
