About the Role:
As a Construction Project Manager in Wireless Construction, you will manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors to oversee construction and maintenance for a regional network of cell site projects. Your vital role will ensure that these multi-stakeholder, complex projects are delivered on time, to specifications, and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
As the Construction Project Manager, you will use your expertise in land development, commercial construction, building codes, and construction management to ensure the success of our projects. You will also leverage your skills in change order management and construction scheduling to keep projects on track and within budget. About the Role:
As a Construction Project Manager in Wireless Construction, you will manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors to oversee construction and maintenance for a regional network of cell site projects. Your vital role will ensure that these multi-stakeholder, complex projects are delivered on time, to specifications, and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or eight or more years of relevant work experience in lieu of educational requirement
- Experience managing projects and process/program management experience
- Experience with budget tracking, cost estimation, and cost accounting of capital plans
- Telecom Construction experience
- Experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry
- Experience with 4G/5G Macro & Inbuilding implementation.
- Master's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience managing large-scale commercial projects
- Experience with site construction and development
- Experience with LEED certification and sustainable building practices
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
- Manage change orders and other project-related documentation
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders
- Manage all aspects of Wireless (DAS, Smallcell, Microwave, FWA) construction projects, from pre-construction planning to final commissioning and handover for our client
- Perform Site visits to Survey the facility, review construction feasibility, generate Survey reports
- Conducting competitive bids with general contractors to procure installation pricing for various projects
- Developing and maintaining detailed schedules for each project and actively managing the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases, and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule
- Analyzing implications of changes from the original schedule and taking required corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track
- Providing regular project status reports to management and the project team
- Working closely with RF Engineers, Equipment Engineers and Facilities Engineers to ensure cell site construction issues are pro-actively identified and resolved and requirements are met
- Working with outside vendors including General Contractors, Architectural & Engineering firms and Construction Management firms on project scope, design and plans to meet VZW standards, local code requirements and project schedules
- Facilitating weekly routine planning and working sessions with critical stakeholders and regional Operations Managers to review project scope, define issues, develop deliverables and associated timelines, assign primes and track action items
- Reviewing close out packages to ensure projects are completed with high quality and according to the project scope
- Completing receipts of service purchase orders and ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner according to federal and state regulations
- Managing the regional monthly cell capital plan, ensuring spending accuracy in monthly forecasting and performing monthly reconciliation of YTD monthly spending by budget item
- Travel to Site locations as needed
