Position Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to develop and optimize technical procedures for programming, installing, and operating industrial food processing equipment. This role requires expertise in sanitary design, industrial process equipment, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and experience working with AutoCAD, Inventor 3D, and SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical procedures for programming, installation, and operation of equipment used by controls engineers and customers.
- Standardize electrical device systems by compiling and managing a master Motor and Device List across multiple equipment types.
- Design controls for process equipment in compliance with FDA regulations, OSHA standards, company policies, and safety guidelines.
- Implement company safety programs, including the creation of key technical documents such as:
- Safety Measure Assessment (SMA)
- Critical Control Logic (CCL)
- Safety Requirement Specification (SRS)
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods when working on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Engineering, Food Technology, or Mechanical Engineering (required).
- 3-5 years of experience in food processing equipment or sanitary design.
- Hands-on experience with industrial process equipment, including heat exchangers, pumps, filters, and automated CIP systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor 3D design software.
- Experience with SAP (preferred).
