You should have a strong grasp of SEO and e-commerce and know how to drive readership with smart angles and intriguing headlines. Clean, compelling copy and expertise in the space is a must.

This is a Hybrid role from our New York Office, working three days from the office, two from home

What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for an experienced writer who's passionate about, and plugged into, all things beauty, from runway trends to viral moments and emerging ingredients. You should have a strong grasp of SEO and e-commerce and know how to drive readership with smart angles and intriguing headlines. Clean, compelling copy and expertise in the space is a must.
- Working closely with our Beauty Director, ideate and write a high volume of stories, including: news stories, commerce-driven stories, featurettes, interviews, essays, and more, with a close eye on market throughout
- Through experimentation and analytics, refine strategies for growing news and commerce traffic for the Beauty vertical and execute on findings
- Brainstorm, pitch, and write content for print issues, digital issues, special projects, and packages, from product stories all the way to longform features
- Manage key editorial franchises
- 4 years experience in a writing-heavy role within the beauty space
- Ability to produce clean and compelling copy on tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of industry trends
- Experience in SEO and e-commerce
