At FutureCare, our Maintenance Directors are responsible for developing and executing the maintenance prevention program within the facility and determining the need for emergency renovation, carpentry services, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance services as needed. This position will be located in the Annapolis, MD area.

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor maintenance staff and maintenance contractors working in the facility.

Provide ongoing preventative maintenance and upkeep of the facility, building systems, fire / safety equipment, and medical equipment.

Oversee and approve all necessary repairs and maintain accurate records and logs while producing required reports.

Inspect maintenance work for quality, safety, and compliance.

Maintain a clean, safe working environment (workshop).

Verify daily logs of refrigerator temperatures.

Validate daily tests and logs of water temperatures within the facility.

Mandate and observe budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and services, following proper procedures related to the purchase order system and approval before ordering supplies.

Adhere to facility policies and procedures.

Act as chairperson for the Safety Committee.

Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.

Ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent; college graduate a plus.

Must have at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role.

General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, roofing, and grounds maintenance.

General knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization, and administration.

Must exercise considerable independent judgment.

Ability to exercise tact and courtesy in contacts with facility staff, contractors, and the general public.
