Licensed Psychiatrist- Full Time
Location: Petaluma, CA, 94952
What you will be doing:
- Providing ongoing psychiatric care to adolescent residents with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
- Performing routine and emergency assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment recommendations.
- Coordinating care before and during admission and post-discharge.
- Communicating with parents/guardians and educating clients on a weekly basis.
- Attending weekly treatment team meetings.
- Serving as a liaison with the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and other treatment team members.
- Assessing and screening patients, conducting psychiatric evaluations, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing.
- Developing a treatment plan, measuring progress against the plan, and making adjustments as needed.
- Coordinating and communicating with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care.
- Completing all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborating with a broader team of physicians, therapists, nurses, etc. to assess and adjust treatment plans.
Experience you will need:
- Current and valid Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Experience working with Adolescent (aged 12yrs -17yrs) is preferred.
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
- License to practice medicine in the state of CA.
