Description:
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mechanical Designer / Engineer.
This position will entail the design and production of mechanical systems in commercial, mixed-use, industrial, healthcare, residential and specialty facilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- EIT Certification; on track for PE
- 4 to 10 years of MEP Consulting design experience
- Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of building mechanical systems and codes and must possess the ability to communicate directly with owners, architects, contractors, power companies, other design professionals and building officials.
- Candidates must be proficient with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform general engineering tasks under the direct supervision of a senior designer or an engineer including layout and equipment selections.
- Work with the senior designer or engineer to develop load calculation and scheduling of equipment.
- Pick up redlines developed by senior designer or engineer.
- Learn how to review design against applicable design checklists.
- Participate in occasional construction site visits with senior designer or engineer.
- Properly save all correspondence and project information in project file.
- Meet regularly with senior designer or engineer to review/approve design work.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
