Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing mechanical systems for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection in a variety of building types. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule with two days in the office and three days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for MEP projects.
- Prepare mechanical design drawings, specifications, and project documentation in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and equipment selection to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with electrical and plumbing engineering teams for integrated system design.
- Conduct site assessments, inspections, and construction administration support as needed.
- Ensure mechanical designs comply with local, state, and national building codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design for MEP projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation tools (e.g., HAP, Trace).
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- PE license or eligibility to obtain one is a plus.
