Junior Structural Engineer – Herndon, Virginia
We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a career opportunity for a motivated individual interested in structural design and development. The role involves assisting in creating construction documents and collaborating with in-house architects and MEP engineers, Project managers, and working with the contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and cold-formed steel.
- Develop and produce detailed construction documents using AutoCAD (required) and Revit (preferred).
- Learn and apply knowledge of cold-formed steel framing design in various projects.
- Willing to conduct job site visits and may require occasional travel.
- Willing to learn and develop skills BIM modelling.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BS in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis), Master’s preferred.
- 0-1 years of experience in structural design (new graduates welcome).
- EIT certification or ability to pass the EIT within a year
- U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
