What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Crew position at Futures Explored, Inc.?
Futures Explored is seeking to hire several Production Crew employees to help support on Futures Films gigs as well as Futures Explored events. This is an on-call position under the management of the Senior Program Director of Media, Film, and Arts, this role will assist above the line crew on Futures Films productions or at Futures Explored Events. Specific Job duties may vary by project need.
We are seeking up to 2 Production Crew employees in Sacramento.
Requires flexibility in work schedule and flexibility in location assignment, as job duties are carried out at film locations, in the community, and in the studio. Futures Films and Futures Explored may at any time, with or without notice, alter or change job responsibilities, reassign or transfer job positions, or assign additional job responsibilities. This position is as needed/on-call and working hours will not exceed 19 hours a week. Futures Film Crew are entitled to two 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. Frequent OT may occur.
Specific Duties:
The Futures Film/Futures Explored On-Call Production Crew will work on Futures Films video and film productions and/or Futures Explored events, in one or more of the following areas:
Camera Department (1AC, 2ndAC, Camera Operator)
Lighting/Grip Department
Sound (Mixer or Assistant)
Production (Production Assistant)
Post-Production (Editor or DIT)
Actor/Voice Actor
Event Support

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Candidates for this position will have demonstrated competency through skills assessments or experience in one or more of the areas listed above.
- Candidates must have a resume and/or reel of their work that shows their proficiency.
- Knowledge of computers and software use including, MS Office and G Suite Workplace.
- Health Screening and TB Test required at hire. Not more than 1 year prior to employment
- Physical stamina and ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform the assigned duties safely and effectively, including: walking/standing up to 7.5 hours a day, ability to lift, carry, and/ or move up to 30 pounds, bend, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise and or in extreme heat and or cold and or wet/humid conditions.
