SUMMARY
Futures Education is currently seeking a school based paraprofessional at Phoenix Elementary. This opportunity begins immediately and is full time for a minimum of 4 weeks. There is potential for coverage to last for the remainder of the 2015/16 school year.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Support the educational environment of students with special needs
- Tutor students in cells or collectively and document information for assessment
- Collaborate with teachers to enhance instruction and lesson planning objectives
- Create and implement games and activates for enriching student development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree or above or 60 semester hours, or passed ParaPro/WorkKeys assessment required.
- Experience working with students with special needs, specifically those on the Autism spectrum
- Paraprofessionals must be physically fit to work with this special population of student
- Ability to be trained in best practices for paraprofessional work and participation in consistent professional development workshops
- CPI, CPR, First Aide (Must have all prior to start date 11.16.15)
