Job Description: Sports Performance Coach (Strength and Speed Coach)
Company Overview: Futures Training Center is the West Coast's premier baseball and softball training facility. For athletes ranging from amateur to professional players, we utilize data and technology to inform training decisions and build development programs for their strength, speed, hitting, pitching, and defensive needs. We focus on creating a world class training experience for the players that trust us with their development by building meaningful relationships and utilizing tech and data at a professional level.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Strength and Speed Coach with a baseball or softball background. This role will utilize cutting-edge strength and speed training tools such as Proteus Motion, Vald Force Decks, Vitruve (VBT), Vald Smart Speed timing gates, Arm Care App, Teambuildr, VueMotion and more. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Corona, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Coach group and semi-private strength and speed training sessions.
- Instruct proper form for strength training and speed training.
- Motivate athletes to push their current limits.
- Build rapport with athletes.
- Mentor aspiring baseball and softball athletes on the path required to compete at the next level.
- Maintain gym cleanliness.
- Program athlete workouts.
- Enter data and track athlete performance.
- Analyze reports to evaluate athlete progress and program efficacy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree - preferably in kinesiology, exercise science (or comparable).
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from NSCA (or willing to attain within 6 months).
- Baseball and/or Softball background required.
- Prior experience coaching athletes.
- Former Collegiate or Professional Athlete (strongly encouraged).
- A passion for impacting lives and training/fitness!
