What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional-Site Lead position at Futures Unlimited Inc?
Full time position working 40 hours per week. The lead DSP must be willing and able to work planned situations that require overtime, early morning, evening, overnight and weekend hours. This position includes:
- providing direct support to persons served
- provide on-the-job training to new and existing staff to ensure the highest quality of service is being provided.
- assure all documentation being completed by the staff working at the assigned site is accurately maintained and completed in a timely manner.
- oversee the financial process related to the assigned service setting.
- develop and review individualized training programs for persons served.
Starting hourly pay for the position is $18.00.
Skills required include:
- strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution ability, problem solving ability, organization and time management.
- must be compassionate, dependable, patient, creative, energetic, and able to motivate others.
- a minimum of one-year experience providing services to individuals with disabilities in a similar environment is required. Applicants that cannot verify prior experience will not be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with a stable work history.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
